Saturday 2 August 2003
I was the hostess at my first all-terrier pool party.  I met the friendliest people and the most amazing Lakies.  There are lots of photos here, and I’ll tell you who’s who.

The first to arrive at my pool party was this darling red girl who is about three months old. We bonded right away and I even shared my yard-bug toy. Sagan came to meet & greet and to chat with us both.

OK people, get this party started right now! Who's going to be the first to go in? Sagan, will it be you or Tanner?

That's Tanner following me around . . . I'm showing him all the fun spots in the yard. Sagan is going swimming, and I will too. But first I just need to show Tanner where we keep the toys and the snacks. Sagan, get out of that pool and come with us: I'll show you where the humans spilled some punch.

You can see that Archie is somewhat infatuated with me. ARCHIE! You're my brother and I'm just a BABY! Back-off!  Sometimes a girl has got to be firm and just say NO. I did this, gently, by pushing Archie into the pool. That seemed to cool his jets, so we floated on my raft together. Friends, Archie . . . we're just friends!

Look at us runnin' loose and being happy terriers. Here’s Tanner with me and Sagan. We’re sniffin’ the herbs. Come on fellows - wait for the Frosty Paws.

Yo, Sagan. We see you there with your cute bandana -- we see you swimming with Tuesday. We're coming, we're coming, just wait there -- this may be Tanner's first swimming lesson.

Here I am with Tuesday in the pool being Easy and taking a sip of water from my raft. I got off the raft a couple of times just to see who would jump-up and "save" me. Sssh. I love all that attention. Little do they know that I can come and go from this raft all night long. Tuesday is my new pal . . . or so I thought. I heard some rumor that she liked Nut-Meg and even brushed her. Tuesday, Nut-Meg is just a C-A-T.  I'm your loyal buddy!

My lady is swimming with me and Archie. We needed a chaperone to protect me from any unwanted advances from Archie, and she was happy to join us for our rafting date.
